{"id":441,"date":"2023-04-13T14:12:51","date_gmt":"2023-04-13T11:12:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/invest24world.com\/?p=441"},"modified":"2023-04-13T14:12:51","modified_gmt":"2023-04-13T11:12:51","slug":"amazon-ceo-andy-jassy-didnt-get-any-new-stock-in-2022-filing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/22-preview.freshtone.ru\/fr\/amazon-ceo-andy-jassy-didnt-get-any-new-stock-in-2022-filing\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon CEO Andy Jassy didn&#8217;t get any new stock in 2022 &#8211; filing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amazon (NASDAQ:<span class=\"aqPopupWrapper js-hover-me-wrapper\"><a id=\"6437e26b7c17d\" class=\"aqlink js-hover-me\" href=\"https:\/\/www.investing.com\/equities\/amazon-com-inc\" data-pairid=\"6435\">AMZN<\/a><\/span>) said it didn\u2019t grant its CEO Andy Jassy \u201cany equity awards\u201d during 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur CEO\u2019s Compensation Actually Paid (as defined by the SEC) for 2022 was negative $148 million, largely attributable to the 2022 decline in value of restricted stock units scheduled to vest over the next 8 years, while his 2022 realized compensation declined by 25% from 2021,\u201d the company said in a filing.<\/p>\n<p>The decision not to grant Jessy any new stock in 2022 was made after the company \u201cengaged in extensive outreach\u201d with the shareholders, including \u201cholding one-on-one or small group meetings with most of our 20 largest shareholders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company says it remains committed to its executive compensation structure. While Jassy didn\u2019t get new stock in 2022, recently promoted CEOs of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investing.com\/academy\/statistics\/amazon-facts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon\u2019s e-commerce<\/a>\u00a0and cloud businesses were awarded over $40 million in 2022 compensation.<\/p>\n<p>Jassy\u2019s 2021 award, originally worth $214M, \u201cis intended to represent most of his compensation for the coming years,\u201d Amazon said. The CEO still generated $31.9 million from those older grants that were vested last year.<\/p>\n<p>In an annual shareholder letter, Jassy reaffirmed his belief that the recent cost-cutting activities will pay off.
